Organisers of BZR WKND Jamaica have announced that the concert previously scheduled for October 18, 2026 will instead take place on December 20, 2026, following the withdrawal of previously advertised headliner Cardi B. The postponement and new ticket arrangements were set out in organiser statements reported on October 13.

The date change provides a concrete update to the uncertainty surrounding the Kingston concert since Cardi B’s withdrawal was confirmed on October 8. Earlier notices had suspended ticket sales, but they did not establish a new performance date. The October 13 statement does.

Existing tickets and refund requests

According to the organisers’ announcement, tickets already purchased for the original October 18 concert will remain valid for the December 20 staging. People who do not want to attend the new date may request refunds by contacting eventsteamjamaica@kanoopays.com.

Reports reproducing the organisers’ guidance say ticket purchasers should supply their name, purchase confirmation, transaction or order reference, and the email address used for the purchase. Fans should verify any instructions against the organiser or ticket seller’s current official channels before sending transaction details; Madd A Road Media is not processing refunds.

In a further statement reported Tuesday, organisers said patrons who booked travel or accommodation specifically for the postponed event could apply for compensation and a complimentary ticket of equal or lesser value, subject to evidence of ticket purchase and the relevant bookings. That is the organisers’ stated commitment, not an independently verified payment or guarantee that every expense will qualify. Patrons should obtain written eligibility terms directly from the event team.

What has not been confirmed

The revised headliner and full December programme had not been confirmed in the material reviewed. Cardi B’s previous billing should not be used as evidence that she will appear in December. Organisers said they planned to hold a press conference later in the week to provide more information.

The announcement concerns the October 18 marquee concert. It does not establish that every separately advertised event from the original October 16–19 weekend has been postponed on identical terms. Fans holding tickets for other dates should check their specific bookings.

Why the update matters

The original event was marketed as a major Heroes Weekend entertainment attraction in Kingston, drawing interest from local patrons and visitors arranging flights and accommodation. Moving the marquee concert into December changes those plans and raises immediate questions about the revised lineup, refunds and travel costs.

The BZR WKND website and the Visit Jamaica events calendar still displayed the older October promotion during this editorial review. Those pages should not override the more recent dated organiser statements. Ticket holders should rely on current written instructions rather than outdated advertisements.
