Julian Marley Reaches No. 1 on iTunes Reggae Chart
Julian Marley and DJ GQ’s “Keep The Fire Burning” reached No. 1 on
the iTunes Reggae chart, according to a September 20 report citing
acknowledgement from Marley’s camp. Chart positions can change quickly,
so the milestone should be understood as a point-in-time achievement
rather than a permanent ranking.
More Caribbean Music News and Recognition
Taken together, the developments show several sides of Caribbean music
at once: veteran legacy, institutional recognition, international
crossover and current chart movement. They also reinforce how reggae and
dancehall continue to connect Jamaica with audiences and artists well
beyond the island.
