A dancehall collaboration from Konshens, a Jamaica–Brazil roots recording featuring Cedric Myton, and Patra’s move into house music offer three different starting points for listeners exploring this week’s release coverage.

The projects connect Jamaican artists with different collaborators and production settings. Here is what has been announced, where to explore the music, and what remains unconfirmed about the release dates.

Konshens announces “WET” with Cheem and Skip

Konshens announced that “WET,” his collaboration with Cheem and Skip, was available in a September 17 social-media post linking listeners to the release.

DancehallMag covered the announcement on September 18. The artist’s post establishes that the track was being promoted as available by September 17, but does not independently confirm its original streaming release date.

For fans following Konshens’ latest collaborations, the release is one to investigate through the link shared in his announcement. Read the report and view Konshens’ announcement.

Cedric Myton reconnects with Freedom Sounds on “Blue Sky”

Cedric “Congo” Myton of The Congos joins Brazilian production outfit Freedom Sounds on “Blue Sky,” continuing a collaboration that has previously produced music including “Canoa Quebrada.”

According to World A Reggae’s September 15 feature, “Blue Sky” was recorded in January 2025 at Marroquino Estudio in Canoa Quebrada, Brazil. Jacko Bagatini contributed to the riddim and final master.

The accompanying video was filmed on a mobile phone during Myton’s visit to Juiz de Fora, with editing by Selectah No Beat. The modest production provides a visual document of the Jamaican singer’s connection with Brazil’s reggae community.

September 15 is the feature’s publication date; the original audio release and video premiere dates were not independently established for this roundup. Watch the embedded video and read the production details.

Patra brings “Me So Sexy” to the J-House project

Patra’s “Me So Sexy” places the dancehall artist within the J-House project, which combines Jamaican voices with house and electronic production.

DancehallMag’s September 18 coverage includes an embedded Spotify radio edit and reports that an accompanying video was filmed at Club Meca. The report follows coverage of Patra’s previous single, “No Threat.”

The project offers another example of Jamaican artists working across musical styles while retaining a visible connection to dancehall. However, the original single release date and the video’s premiere date remain unconfirmed in the sources checked for this article. Listen to the embedded radio edit and read about the release.
