Reggae artiste Brimstone recently teamed up with international hit-making producer Troyton to record a thought-provoking new single titled Thanks N Praise.
“I’m grateful to Troyton for producing this song, working with him was a great experience. He’s a musical genius and a true professional. Troyton made sure every aspect of this production was done correctly, including the recording of the vocals, and the mixing and mastering of the song,” said the artiste.
The song which was recorded on the Pure Thoughts rhythm was recently released on the Troyton Music label, since then it has been enjoying heavy rotation both locally and abroad.
“I’m overwhelmed by the response that my song has been receiving since it came out. It’s getting strong support from DJs in various territories including Jamaica, North America, Central America, Europe, Africa and the UK,” he said.
Brimstone delivered a riveting performance at Everton Blender’s 70th birthday celebration in Miramar, Florida on November 24.
“My performance at Everton Blender’s event was well received by the audience. I did a very entertaining set with songs from my catalogue including Thanks N Praise, Foreign Nuh Easy, Make Bob A National Hero and Bark Like Dog. The fans loved every minute of my set, and they showed their appreciation with huge forwards.”
During his set, the St. Elizabeth-born deejay presented Everton Blender with an award for his contribution to the development of reggae music.
“Everton Blender has been a great inspiration to me. I’ve always loved and appreciated his music, and I also admire his humility and dedication to recording conscious reggae music. So, I decided to show him my appreciation by giving him an award,” said Brimstone.–
