Singer Chester Miller says he is in the best musical shape of his life.

The Rastafarian singer, who is based in Canada, is receiving rave reviews for his recently-released single Derailed, featuring Teacha Dee and his EP, Rebirth.

The track, produced by Tim Dub, was released in June and is enjoying heavy rotation on airwaves both locally and internationally.

“I have to give Jah thanks because what you see happening is because my music is authentic reggae music. So the response that I am getting is based on merit and not hype,” said the Blood from a Stone lyricist.

Miller has been in the music industry for 40 years, but the Mandeville-born singjay claims this period has been one of the most fruitful.

“My first single entitled Saturday Evening was released in 1984 and was produced by Leroy Sibbles, on the Micron Label. I’ve had some very good moments in music and this period is one of them,” Miller said.

Both the track and EP are doing well on various charts in the Caribbean and North America.

Buoyed by their success, Miller says he is currently in studios “working on several singles for 2025”.

“I am continuing to work with my producer Tim Dub on some new singles, and I am going to be going on a tour next year with the Rockers’ new project, which is called “Dem a Come” with the likes of Big Youth, Kiddus I, Lloyd Parks & We The People Band,” Miller added.

A fan of reggae icons Bob Marley and Dennis Brown, Miller said he has no intention to stop doing conscious music.

“I am sticking to the original roots, reggae music classic style which means to have been fading throughout the years,” he said
