Ralston Barrett has over thirty years of experience working in the Jamaican music industry. Throughout his career, he has worked in various areas of the music business including public relations, artiste management, music production and events production. He has also worked as a broadcaster and freelance writer.
Ralston has done PR work for several Reggae and Dancehall artistes including Luciano, Sanchez, Mr Vegas, Spice, Protoje, Richie Spice, Gyptian, Delly Ranx, Chronic Law, Rygin King, Nesbeth, Charly Black, Mikey General, Richie Stephens, Demarco and Kip Rich.
Ralston has also produced songs for several artistes including Capleton, Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica, Richie Spice, Mr Vegas, George Nooks, Lukie D, Sugar Minott, Anthony B, Kip Rich, Cecile, Spanner Banner, Lady G, Mr Lexx and Delly Ranx.
Ralston devotes most of his time to working with clients through his PR agency, Reggae PR, raising his daughters, writing, reading and working on personal projects.
Ralston’s latest venture is a record label called Symphony B Records that he has created as a gift for his five year old daughter Symphony Barrett.
The first project for the label the Sobriety Test rhythm was released by VPAL Music on the 24th of September.
The project features songs from Capleton, Delly Ranx, Tellah, Furious, Venjahnce, Jahbar-I, Sudu Mos-I, Fyah Stick and Jah Wiz.
